When it comes to hotels, Galicia is well serviced by both large city hotels and much smaller hotels, often owned and managed by a single family. The smaller hotels tend to be in the towns, villages and more rural locations and can be very good value for money.

Renting a car is not a problem in Galicia. In addition to a number of national and regional care hire companies, you will find most of the international rental companies have bases in the big cities or the region's two main airports (i.e. Santiago de Compostela and la Coruna).

For those who want to buy a second home, vacation retreat or who wish to relocate to Galicia, there are plenty of property buying options. A number of estate agents speak English and sometimes French or German and some even specialise in foreign sales. If you want to buy a property in Galicia make sure that you get legal advice.
